The idea behind this park is great. Our dog loves to swim and had a blast while she was there. However, the water is absolutely disgusting. There are dogs pooping in the water, which I understand comes with the territory, but then there are other dogs drinking the same water. We have many friends that have dogs that have gotten sick after visiting this park. The city really should test the water or at least get the water moving.
The park is great! My dog loves going there. Only thing I would say, is that the water there is extremely dirty and I personally would not let my dog swim in there
Great dog park complete with pond and a small dog area too. Plenty of room to run and play. Only qualm is the fence repairs are done with zip ties holding new, sharp edged pieces over the trouble spots, these have fallen down before.
Wonderful dog park, not so wonderful dogs. I have taken my dogs here twice, the first time, I had both of my dogs here and a lady was there with a puppy. She did not look fit to take care of an animal, it looked as if she didnt really take care of herself. She was going around DRINKING BEER AT THE DOG PARK. YES, IM SERIOUS. She knowingly brought her dog the the park and she KNEW IT HAD WORMS! Who does that? Jeez lady. The second time I had just my Lab there, and another dog would NOT leave my dog alone, chasing him, biting at his face and tail, trying to steal his toys, and the lady that owned him was sitting at a picnic table with friends not caring whatsoever. Excuse me, please pay attention to your animals. The park itself is beautiful but the people that go there, not so much.
Clean park because most owners pick up after their pets, and the little dog side is great. Pond just big/small enough for a 13 pound dog, and shaded sitting areas. Though, the fountains are broken and the water is not very clean. Most of the owners are responsible, but some aren't. My dog bullied a couple of times by owners who aren't present or aren't paying attention. There's also a training course which is great.
