Long story short it was an extremely unpleasant experience. I felt singled out because I was with my kids by myself. Another mom there told me she thought something happened last year if she remembered correctly so they were a little extra. Regardless if something did or did not happen, there's a fine line in keeping a watchful eye and actually harassing the guests. I will never return to this pool.
First, I was trying to sit somewhere near the pool in the shade, no dice. Apparently there was an ant infestation in the last area that was covered and I was asked to move. No shade areas are provided for chairs, only tables. Also, As listed on their site, which I didn't look at until I got home, no floaties. I didn't know this and I didn't see it posted so when I went to put theirs on after playing in the shallow area, I was told they couldn't wear them and they would give us a life vest. Maybe I'm anal but life vests seem ridiculous to swim in. Half the kids who were wearing them, the vests were covering their actual heads...just no.
Life Guards felt like Guard Dogs. I really wanted to have a good experience here. We have a community pool that we go to through our HOA but the boys wanted to go somewhere with a slide. I didn't mind trying another pool and $3 a person didn't seem to steep.
Loved it... and only $3 each! Win Win for summer fun!
This is a great pool for young families and only $3 per person get in, free to get in if your just watching.
The pool doesn't turn blue when you pee in it.
Decent city pool with amenities for young kids (under 5), but gets overrun on weekends.
Anyway, my boys can swim, they are not the strongest yet but strong enough to go in with out me while I keep my watchful eye on them. One of the lifeguards looked like she was going to have a full on panic attack any time my youngest jumped in the pool. She mentioned to me that he could wear a life vest and how "little" he was. He's 4. AND CAN SWIM. Another life guard actually told me he had to be wearing one to be on that side of the pool. Not posted, no he doesn't, again, he can swim. Then not 5 minutes later ANOTHER life guard asked me if they could use one. That was it. I was absolutely and completely done. I was standing in the hot sun, the entire time keeping an eye on my kids. I was not playing on my phone, I was doing what I need to do to assure my children's safety. I think the most frustrating part is the Lifeguard who looked like she would keel over any minute due my child being in the water where he could touch, was enough to make MY anxiety extremely high.
