Best animal Ophthalmology Care in Texas. Don't waste ur time and money anywhere else.
Assumed I was sending our pony to a large bureaucratic facility but couldn't have been more incorrect. The office staff and doctors were great to work with, extremely accessible and very kind. It was also a nice surprise to get a final bill that was reasonable and even lower than I expected.
My wife and I could not be more pleased with Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital. If perfection is their goal, they certainly exceeded this in all their attempts. Our "Max" is recovering nicely after a TPLO procedure.
The people who were helping us basically made us wait about 5 hours in the Lobby with little to no update on my dog. The only reason the vet even came out was because I went to the front desk and asked for an update. The lady said it would take 5 minutes for the vet to come out but it took him 30 minutes later. When he finally came out he didn’t even tell us a diagnosis, so even though I spent about 300 dollars and waited 5 hours we were still put on a lower priority than the other patients who came in and we still don’t know what’s wrong with my dog. I would rather take him to his personal vet maybe there they will treat us better and in a more timely manner. Also just to add something the only time these people were quick and efficient was when the cashier came to the front to take my money.
The Orthopedic department has given Max the chance for a full recovery and to walk and run without pain

The professionalism and caring attitude of the staff and students was more than I expected. My mare was extremely ill and I knew from the beginning that she might not make it. My local vet told me the only chance she had was to go to Texas A&M large animal hospital. They did everything they could within my financial limitations. Her symptoms were not normal and hopefully the autopsy will reveal all her underlying issues that might help another horse some day.
