Selection is good. Prices are fair, especially if you catch a sale. The employees are a lot more personable than Specs.
I walked in the store for the first time about a week ago. I did not realize the store and selection was so large. I thought Spec's had that market cornered. Very nice selection, and as soon as I walked in the door, a super friendly associate pointed me in the direction I was looking for.
Large and always improving selection of spirits, including a lot of uncommon things that have become bar staples for me. Fair prices as well.
edit: six months later, this is my default go-to liquor store. Their prices are among the best you can find in town, and the staff is just top notch helpful. I called looking for particular somewhat uncommon ingredient for a drink I wanted to make. They didn't have it either, but placed an order for me for their next delivery.
Manager recommended an organic red wine, that upon opening, turned out to have notes of motor oil and burnt rubber. Presenting it to the only staff in the store, I was informed that they did not accept returns due to people leaving wine in their vehicles that they had spoiled. Really? So I am put into the same group as scammers? So are their recommendations a customers risk? Clearly they do not care about maintaining new customers. Just maintaining their greasy policy. Shop at HEB across the street instead.
Best selection of Scotch, Bourbon, Rum and [I'm sure] everything else as well. Friendly and helpful employees.
