An Aggie rite of passage. Chicken and sauce are fantastic. Fries are a bit lacking sometimes. Fast and cheap.
Great chicken fingers and fries! Loved the potato salad and bread as well! We go here everytime we visit College Station.
And here's the kicker, this wasn't and isolated event. This exact same thing happened to me 3 TIMES IN A ROW in the drive thru before I swore off of this location. The other locations are still fine, just don't go here.
Been coming to eat here for the last 20 years. Food is good, cheap, and fast. My kids love the chipped ice and I the free drink refills. The only negative comments are two: bathroom is always dirty and the tables and floor always need some cleaning. Not a problem since for me though since I never use the bathroom and I can clean the table myself. Hope this helps!
I went through the drive-thru and ordered the 5 piece chicken (usually a good value). What I got was 5 microscopic chicken slivers. I think they were probably the last ones left from an old batch they had fried earlier, and I couldn't help but think I was being punished for driving-thru and ordering just chicken.
Go to any Layne's but this one! Against my better judgement, I continued to go here months after my first bad experience. The employees are perpetually rude and the service is slow, but the cherry on top of the pie is how little food I was given.
Excellent chicken and sauce, facility is very dirty. Employees do not dress in uniform and have no name tags. Restaurant is very cramped and counter is always crowded. Definitely needs some type of upgrade - locally run restaurant.
