My son has lived at University RV Park for almost 2 years. We tried the dorm and apartment scene as well as another trailer park...so glad we found University RV Park. He is a student at Texas A&M and he even says this definitely beats the apartment/dorm life hands down! Some people may not like rules, but we DEFINITELY like them, and our son even says he appreciates the rules!!! (Quiet hours are strictly enforced!) This park provides a safe, comfortable, affordable, studious and friendly atmosphere for students and non-students alike. The convenience of the on-site laundry facility as well as propane refills saves a lot of time and gas! The lake in back provides a relaxing place to hang out, fish (catch and release) and walk. So if you are looking for a place for your son (or daughter) to stay at while attending Texas A&M or Blynn, we endorse University RV Park.
Lots are not level. Sites are gravel, not paved. Some are very close together, uncomfortably so. Lots of full time residents. Lots of construction while they're building new facilities. Expected to continue through Spring 2018. Owners are nice for the most part. Sometimes they can be short with you or appear to be annoyed but maybe they're just really busy. Except for the construction, it's usually quiet. They've recently added a Constable's car to the entrance as a deterrent. Not sure why as we've never experienced any issues. Nice pond on the property.
Small park with 40 spaces mostly fulltimers. The owner is friendly and uses college students to help maintain the park. Beautiful lake in the back with catfish, bass and beavers; yes beavers! The sites themselves were small and unlevel. The park rules were a little tough, can't use own washer/dryer, no electric hot water heater and no space heaters. But if you are only needing to stay a day or two, it's a comfortable, quiet RV park.
