We stored our new RV at Wellborn Self Storage for several months in 2017. It's a very basic uncovered storage facility for vehicles and also has storage units. You can access storage 24hrs a day, the rates are reasonable and the gravel parking areas drained well and did not flood or get muddy after heavy rains. The owner was helpful and cooperative when any issues arose, and we did have some minor issues during our stay. There is no on site manager, which helps keep costs down, but for part of our rental time there was no local management in the area, though the owner told us he has now hired new local management. The old managers did not process our payments automatically as they were supposed to, so we had to pay for several months at once upon leaving. The owner was very apologetic about this and charged no fees or penalties and even gave us a slight break on the price. Nice guy! On two occasions the electronic keypads (once on entry and once on exit) failed, making it more of a challenge to get in and out. We had to squeeze through the gate and use the other keypad. The owner did get this taken care of in a timely manner after we let him know. The entry keypad sits just a few feet off the 2 lane road that goes out there, and the driveway from the keypad to the gate is quite short. That means when you turn your vehicle 90 degrees to get to the keypad, your vehicle is partway out into the road. not a huge problem during daylight hours, but at night with a big vehicle or towing a trailer you will block both lanes. There is major road construction going on right at the intersection where the entry is located, so this situation may improve when that is completed. traffic is fairly light on the road except during what passes for "rush hour". We were satisfied with our experience at Wellborn Self Storage, and only left to move our RV to covered parking for the upcoming thunderstorm and hail season.
