Great Hotel appearances in lobby and room. Beds are comfy. Love that they have a separate living room and full stocked kitchen area in the suite. Have only utilized the fridge but nice to have option of cooking if needed. Breakfast is the best I've ever had at a hotel with it being complimentary. The scrambled eggs are excellent, just right, not over or under cooked.
Friendly staff and guests. Ricardo was at the desk most of the time & was very helpful! Loved the bed and extra soft & smooth pillows & sheets! Was nice to have breakfast available and other times seating area to visit. Our room had couch & sitting area, too, liked that feature. (Sometimes fresh baked, complimentary, chocolate chip cookies were available, yum.
Was here, from California, for my daughters wedding, on Saturday!
Hawthorn Suites at 1010 University College Station is my favorite hotel of the four hotels I have tried out since November 2016. As of August 2017 we are now in College Station for Texas A&M games and school events almost weekly. The beds at this hotel are far superior to all we have tried and we have stayed in top class hotels. We love the suites. They are 2 separate rooms, full kitchen and sofa-bed. Next time I will try the sofa-bed to check it's comfort level and let you know. Staff is friendly and professional. We have found the hotel and rooms extremely clean. Breakfast is included and has always been delicious. Check-in and check-out has been fast and friendly. To me, they are more reasonably priced except for A&M football games and events, then every hotel in town doubles their price. The Hawthorn is very convenient to the A&M campus and restaurants.
The staff is attentive and works hard to make sure you're all set and covered. They're working extra hard because of the recent tragedy that came from hurricane Harvey and I think that they're doing a great job of being as quick and courteous as possible. Keep up the good work and don't give up!
Decent enough hotel, but I cannot understand why they designed it with no stairwells that can access the third floor from the ground level...with only one (very slow) elevator for guests and staff it makes the trip from the lobby to your room take forever. Friendly staff, clean rooms, but horrible design!
