(I appreciate his effort to fix the mistake but like just read the card or write a note explaining/ do more than just putting some more stamps on my arm.)
Mighty Slice Pizza is inside of the Backyard, and it's amazing. Huge pizza, and it's real cheap. The ambience in this place is awesome. They allow dogs and have bar games outside. Excellent servers and staff.
Then I waited in line at the bar for 30 minutes only to have the bartender tell me she can't serve me. I gave her my ID trying to explain the situation. But ignores me and continues to serve other costumers.
I'm very disappointed in my last trip to the Backyard. I went to the outdoor bar and ordered a single drink. The bartender, either Shelby or Shelly, rung me up for and made me a double, which I did not order. Because I did not order this and had to DD later, I asked her if there was anything that could be done about the charge. She said that she could remake the drink and could refund the first drink that I paid $8 for unknowingly, when it should have been $4. She then took my card again, rang me up for the single, (another $4) and then gave me my drink (rudely, but that isn't the point). She then AGAIN assured me that my first charge would reimburse. After pending in my account for a week, both charges went through. I ended up paying $12 for a single drink. I would have just sucked it up and taken the double that I paid for at first, but again, I was driving later so I didn't want to do that. I truly think that she thought she was just pulling something over on a drunk person that wouldn't know the difference later. I will not be returning here.
I was looking forward to a fun environment where I can hangout with my fellow Ags. I couldn't enjoy the time I spent here because the amount of times I was shuffled around and brushed off... it was ridiculous. I had high hopes and was let down. As a first time experience at the backyard I can safely say I know I will not be returning until I hear that their costumer service has changed for the better. :(
One of the more happening places in Northgate. Other than loads of games, ping pong tables they also have a taco truck in there with some great options.
After wasting my time waiting, I go back to the bouncer to tell him he needs to fix this situation, and he told me to go wash off the 'M's in the bathroom and come back (greatttt idea). So as an adult who just wants a damn alcoholic beverage, I do so.
1st time coming to the Backyard. When I arrived I gave my ID to the bouncer, he 'reads' it, gives it back to me, then asks to see my hands. (You know how some bars stamps your hands if you're 21+) well that's what I was expecting but then the bouncer miss-marks me as a minor but then once I told him I'm 21 & RE-SHOW my ID, he stamps "over 21+" 17 times all over my arms.
BUT once I'm in the bathroom, washing the mistakes off my hands, security BARGES in the door yelling at me (I mean it's your job. I get it, no underage drinking, BUT I WASNT ) & I calmly explain the situation & insist they look at my ID. But it doesn't take till one security guard recognizes me as the "Blonde who is supposed to be washing off her Ms" comes and confirms my story. Even after all this madness there was no apology (that I could hear) just "oh okay" *everyone walks away*. The backyard gets a -1.3 on the costumer service score.
The ambience and the bar itself are really nice but the bouncers are garbage. They let my intoxicated ass in but not my gf who was sober. When i confronted the bouncer about this he threatened to call the cops and get me arrested even though i was only talking.
