I took my car again to firestone and told them to check the power steering pump since I was told it was leaking. After they check it they came to the conclusion that my car needed a new power steering pump and a new rack and pinion ($1450+) in order to make sure the sound stopped. They said that both parts were leaking and need to be replaced asap if not I could lose all the steering system. I did not replaced both parts since it was a lot of money and also because I was doubtful because my steering fluid reservoir was almost full (therefore it was not leaking).

The guy behind the counter doesn't know cars or trucks since my truck didnt come up on his computer said they can't fix the a.c.

I finally decided to take my car to the Nissan dealership (where I should have went in the first place) and I told them all the "problems" that my car had. Nissan's certified mechanics checked my car and they tell me that power steering system is great and that what is making the noise is my transmission that is low in fluid since a seal is leaking. Total fix at the Nissan dealership (including a CVT transmission service) is less than $500. I bought Nissan CVT fluid and put it in my car and the noise and grinding stopped. Next week Im going to the dealership to get the new seal and get the CVT service.

3rd time I showed up only to be told sorry, maybe tomorrow or told it be a 2 HR wait. I called at 10 am to make appt., they wouldn't let me and told me to just call when in town. At 5 PM I did and was on my way. They said 1 HR wait. OK. Upon arrival however, they said 2 HR wait. The employee was a brunette lady with glasses. This is bad service.

The people at firestone are honest and nice (really important) but they don't always know what they are doing. They are overpriced for their service and apparently the mechanics are not good at fixing problems. In my case, I was going to pay more than 1400 for something that was not going to solve my issue. Besides, they told me everything else was fine when they DID NOT CHECKED ALL THE FLUIDS. That could have cost me a lot of money since the transmission was out of fluid. If you just need something simple as new tires or an oil change you can go to firestone, otherwise go to your car's dealership since the mechanics there know exactly your car and how to get it fix.

Took my Maxima to firestone to do a brake flush and since it also had a strange grinding noise I also told them to check it. They called me and told me that the noise was coming from the rack & pinion and that I needed to replace it since it was leaking. They also told me that I needed to change my brakes pads and rotors (both rear and front). I asked about anything else and they told me everything was fine and nothing else needed to be replaced or changed.

Always busy. Dropped my car off on a Saturday and it was ready after noon on Sunday. It can be understandable that it would take time to finish the job but I felt maybe my expectations for how long it should have taken were maybe a little to high.

Have been here at least 3 times since I moved to College Station, always a great experience. Friendly and helpful staff, great prices, and you can leave your car for as long as you need.

I later took my car to another place to get my car checked again (because of the brakes and rotors and the strange grinding noise). They told me that front brakes and rotors were almost new and that I only needed to replace rear brake pads and one rotor so I took care of it at that place. When they checked the noise the told me it was the power steering pump and I asked them if the rack and pinion is leaking and they told me that it wasn't.
