Next day, I call to say I will go with their business because it was the closest to my apartment. The man on the phone was so pleasant and helpful I had trouble believing this was the same voice I talked on the phone with!

After I paid for the service, I called again to sort some information out for my insurance. The man, again, became easily agitated at providing basic information to customers.
I called them if they could help me with changing my car battery. I asked for some more information because I was shopping around. He became quick tempered and answered my questions with an unreasonable amount of resistance.
Very friendly people! However I took a 2007 Corolla in recently because the check engine light came on again. They apparently missed the "new problem" a few days earlier when they said it was just an ignition coil. They said now they would have to keep my car for two weeks because a second diagnosis (that was not picked up the first time) showed that the valves were damaged and it would cost between $1,500-2,000 to fix. I took it to another shop in Bryan for a second opinion. The new shop (a family owned shop) ran a diagnosis that showed no such problem. It was another ignition coil. Check engine light is off and it is running fine.
I have come to Pro-Tec for 4 years always the best price - get me in quick and these guys know their stuff. Always helpful and honest about my truck.
I gave them more than 1 star because they did decently complete the service I paid them for. But I noticed, it doesn't matter if you are a potential customer. Unless you are waiving cash in their faces requesting a specific service, they will treat you like a waist of breath.
Pro-Tec is a great place to bring your car. They are competitively priced all around and very quick. I've dropped my car off for repairs and they've gotten it back to me same day every time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great service at a fair price.
