Last summer I had to take my car in for a new battery and another issue I was having with my car. I started off with different mechanic in town… without mentioning the actual name, it is something like “religious siblings auto” who wanted to charge me a few thousand dollars and do work that I knew did not need to be done. After that I took it down to Sears and they got my car up and running fine for a fraction of that cost. They also did more than I could have reasonably expected in addition because they could tell that I was not in the best financial shape. I took my girlfriend’s car for an oil change today and had another good experience. While in line I overheard the manager being very helpful in giving people detailing information on their options and the lady at the counter was excellent as well. Both of them seem like they care about their fellow human beings.
Really low quality service. They don't want to take any cars after 5 cause it's close to closing time. Even after I had an an appointment at 5.
I had taken my car here to get an oil change multiple times because it was cheap and convenient, but I will never be back after our last experience. We had scheduled an appointment and upon arrival they told us that it was not an appointment but just an appointment request that we had scheduled, even though the email said "appointment confirmation". They told us they didn't have time that day, but to come back tomorrow at the same time and sent us the exact same email as a "confirmation". We went back and they still wanted us to wait three hours FOR AN OIL CHANGE. Really rude service. Pay the extra $10 to go anywhere else.
Rude rude rude! I'm glad it was only a phone call and I never took my car there. The jerk who answered the phone was curt and unwilling to help or even listen. No wonder Sears is going out of business; they hire assholes to work in automotive! Thumbs down!!!
