Worst customer service ever. Very unprofessional and rude. When we first started looking for houses, they showed us houses in our budget range and when we finally picked out a house to rent, they had given us the wrong price. We ended up signing the lease anyway because our realtor promised that they would fix all the issues with the house (missing drawers in the kitchen, providing us with washer and dryer, no bugs, etc) BEFORE we moved in. When we moved in, nothing was fixed and the house was filthy. Sticky kitchen floors, candy on the fireplace, dirty bathrooms and bugs in every room and the washer and dryer were missing.
If it were possible I would give them 0 stars. When we first moved in we moved into a trashed house, that had bugs and wasn't cleaned. We sent in a huge list and they have yet to even do half of it. They took a month to fix our toliet and they took days to come out when our a/c went out. When I submitted the list of things that needed to be fixed I put the disposal. They have yet to fix it and the disposal has completely stopped working and now our house smells like mildew. I called again today to ask them to send a maintenance person and instead they told me ways to fix it on my own. Then they threatened me with a service fee even though this was something that has been here since we moved in. The lady told me that I was fussing and every time I've called they have belittled me and have been very rude. I would not recommend anyone doing business with this company.
You won't have any problems with them as long as you don't need anything repaired or replaced in the place, at least until you want your deposit back after move out. It took them 2 months to get ours back to us, it's supposed to be 30 days by LAW... A bunch of bogus deductions and a mysterious charge for past due rent... We always paid full rent on time. Never rent with them if you can help it, even if it's a few dollars cheaper a month. Just say NO!
Kerri Simmons was our agent. She helped us find a beautiful place in our price range in the area we requested and we love it. The maintenance team has been very reliable including swapping out my broken washing machine with a reliable working machine the same day. Emily Norris was delightful when checking on the completion of the maintenance request. Thank you Equity Real Estate.
We have filled work orders to get help fixing our garbage disposal, the AC when it completely went out this summer (OUR HOUSE WAS ALMOST 90 DEGREES FOR THREE DAYS) and the lady who answers the phone always belittles our issues and has even threatened to charge us a service fee when we have not broken anything. Everything that we have asked to get fix was already messed up when we got here!
As a new employee of the Equity team, I am astounded at the positivity and hard work of all the staffers. The dedication to their clients and tenants' needs is wonderful to see and now being a part of the team, I am feeling the pressure to perform the way the others do, as they are very passionate about providing the best customer service with the highest sense of urgency. I would definitely recommend Equity to my family and friends. I know they would be in good hands and taken care of.
