Stood around waiting for someone to help even though there were sales people in the back milling about. When I was finally helped they seemed in a hurry and not very helpful. After I had decided the two suits I wanted and tried them on I overheard my sales person and the tailor discussing customers that didn't want to buy shoes, shirts, ties, etc. with their suits. They said something along the lines of "If they are here just for a suit, we should just tell them to f***ing go somewhere else". I was shocked and asked if my purchasing of only a suit was a problem. She seemed a little embarrassed but just told me some some excuse about corporate forcing them to go to training if they made suit sales with out also selling accessories. The whole experience was very uncomfortable and I will definitely not go back unless I have to.
Went in to get my brand new slacks altered right after they came in. Asked about it and was told they would not hem the un-hemmed waistband by a young man. When I asked why he said he wasn't allowed to. When I pressed him for more information he said it was the law and walked off. I turned to the older white haired gentleman (mgr) who has been there every-time I've gone in and asked him what the deal was. He said that there were no dry cleaning tags on the slacks and the state law says they cannot work on them without being dry cleaned. I flipped them over and said you mean these tags that they came in the mail with yesterday? With the tags now visible in plain sight. I said I don't appreciate the way he treated me, acting like I was doing something wrong, refusing to help me, and walking off when I was asking him to explain to me what he was talking about. Without ever even having looked at the slacks or asking me were they new, or worn. Without listening to me tell him I had just purchased them online. The older man wrenched his face at me in a look of incredulity, and said that's the way it is sir. If you don't like it, you can leave the store. WOW! Really? That's how a longtime return customer is treated? For what? asking a question. I showed the tags and still no help with having them hemmed??? I wasn't a jerk, I was polite. I've bought 7 suits, 4-5 sports coats and innumerable shirts and slacks here in the last two years since I moved to College Station. I won't be going back....Go read all the negative reviews on Yelp, then decide what you think of this Jos A Banks.
Not one good review for this store anywhere!
Do not use Jos. A Bank. I never write a review but this store lost my tux the day of my wedding and did nothing to help me. They say they never received my tux and knew when my wedding was and I never got a call that something was wrong. I had to scramble around and buy a tux within hours of my wedding. I will never go back or recommend to anyone.
Very helpful.
I had no problem with this clothing store and the sales person was very helpful. Nice suit at a good price
